Hayride collision leads to 11 injuries in Illinois

It's the fall and with fall comes hayrides, pumpkin patches and corn mazes. People are aware that slower agricultural vehicles may be on the roads, which is why they have to be more cautious about traveling in areas where fall events could be taking place.

When drivers don't pay attention, rear-end crashes are a possibility. In a collision with a simple hayride, it could mean that people are thrown and seriously hurt or killed as a result of the impact. Take, for example, the following case.

In a serious collision in Illinois, a car crashed into a hayride and left multiple people injured, some severely. According to an Oct. 13 article about the case, 11 people were harmed when a car rear-ended the hayride being towed on a local roadway.

The crash happened at around 5:30 p.m., and it was serious enough to cause the car to flip over onto its own roof. Videos from the scene showed that the wagon also detached and flipped, leaving several victims unconscious at the scene.

The majority of the victims suffered broken bones, and the two people inside the car were treated for their injuries at the scene. Fortunately, it was reported that no children were hurt in this incident.

If you are involved in an accident like this one, you should know that you have a right to hold the at-fault driver liable for your injuries. You may want to speak with an attorney about your rights and discuss the potential for a lawsuit against the driver who harmed you or your children.
