What are the safest cars you can buy?

On Behalf of | Aug 29, 2018 | Insurance Companies And Negligent Parties Fear Us For A Reason |

When you shop for a car, you may look for a whole host of features: V-6 engines, leather seats, navigation systems and much more. It all depends on your specific needs.

When you get into an accident, you are quickly reminded that the most important feature is simply how safe your car is. Does it protect you and your family? What are the safest cars on the market?

Some reports claim that Subaru leads the way. The Impreza ranked out as the No. 1 “top safety pick” according to the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS). The Subaru Outback came in second.

Maybe you’re not really looking for the station wagon design but would rather have a more modern sedan. If so, the Toyota Camry is third on the list. If you’re in the market for a luxury vehicle, the BMW 5-Series comes in fourth overall.

Looking for a bit more of an SUV style? The Honda CRV comes in fifth. It is followed by the Toyota Highlander, an even larger SUV. That also ties Toyota with Subaru in having two entries in the top seven.

Not to be outdone, Honda offers the Ridgeline. It’s a pickup truck that is known for the smooth ride and convenience of an SUV, but with the bed and capabilities of a truck. It ranks seventh overall, Honda’s second addition to the list.

Of course, even buying the safest cars on the market today does not guarantee that you will never get hurt in an accident. If you do, make sure you know all of the legal steps to take to seek out financial compensation.
