A man in Illinois was killed when the tractor he was driving was hit by a pickup truck. He was just 20 years old at the time of his passing.

The man was driving a tractor with a disc plow near the end of April, heading down Illinois Route 141. According to the Illinois State Police, he was hit and killed right around 8:18 in the evening.

The police have only released a preliminary crash report, but they believe that the Ford pickup was going east when it collided with the disc plow, which was itself being towed by the 20-yearold man on a Case Comfort King Tractor. The driver was from Norris City.

The force of the impact with the truck caused the tractor to overturn. The driver suffered very serious injuries and passed away from them at the scene of the crash.

The man who was driving the pickup truck was 58 years old. He also suffered serious injuries. He is from Eldorado. A helicopter had to be called to pick him up and take him to a nearby medical center.

A third vehicle was also involved in the crash, though no injuries were reported. It was a Chevrolet truck that was being used to tow a trailer. Debris from the initial wreck struck the Chevrolet.

The investigation is being handled by a state police reconstruction team. Other agencies that responded to the crash include the White County Sheriff’s Department, the Norris City Fire Department and the White County Coroner, just to name a few.

After a tragic, fatal accident, it is important for family members to know all of the legal options they have.
